Prices for moving help in Oslo
We charge by the hour, and the rates are right here – not only after a site visit. They are fixed hourly rates including VAT, and below we explain what decides how many hours your move takes.
2 movers + van

- Many stairs and no lift
- Heavy furniture and narrow stairwells
With many stairs and no lift, three movers are faster – and usually cheaper – than two.

What decides how many hours it takes
The hourly rate is the same for everyone, so it is the number of hours that decides the bill. This is what drives it:
- Floor and lift. A fourth floor without a lift in an old tenement building takes considerably longer than a flat with a lift right out to the van.
- Distance from van to door. If we cannot park nearby, time goes on every single trip.
- How well packed it is. If everything is boxed and labelled when we arrive, the move goes quickly. If it is not, we pack first.
- Heavy single items. Pianos, safes, aquariums and American-style fridges need an extra pair of hands and their own equipment.
- Volume. We recommend crew size based on how much there is to move, not on how many square metres you live in.
What is included in the hourly rate

- Liability insurance for the work we do
- Dismantling and assembly of ordinary furniture
Moving boxes, bubble wrap and other packing materials come in addition, and you only pay for what you actually use.

If the flat also needs cleaning for the handover, we do that the same day while everything is out.
Frequently asked questions about price
Can I get a fixed price?
Yes, if we come and look at the job first. Then we lock the price, and you know exactly what the move costs no matter how long we take. The visit is free and puts you under no obligation.
Are the prices with or without VAT?
All prices on this page are quoted including VAT. If you are a private customer, that is what you actually pay – nothing is added on top of the hourly rate.
What does it cost extra after 17:00 and at the weekend?
There is a supplement of 30 % on the hourly rate. It applies after 17:00 on weekdays, and all day Saturday and Sunday. 2 movers and a van then cost 1 788 kr an hour, 3 movers and a van 2 438 kr. We agree the supplement in advance – never afterwards.
What comes on top of the hourly rate?
Moving boxes and packing materials, and you only pay for what you actually use. Carrying, driving and ordinary dismantling and assembly of furniture are included in the hourly rate.
When do I pay?
You get an invoice once the job is done. We do not take payment in advance from private customers.
Are my belongings insured?
We hold liability insurance, along with the statutory insurances for our staff and vehicles. That is a basic cover of our liability, not a full insurance of your contents. We therefore always recommend that you have your own moving insurance – many people are already covered through their home contents insurance, and otherwise you can take out a moving insurance in addition.
