The goods lift has to be booked

Most residential and commercial buildings in Nydalen have their own goods lift, and it usually has to be reserved with the facilities manager or the board. Some buildings require this several days in advance, and some only allow moving within set time windows.

This is the most common reason a move here ends up more expensive than it needs to be: the crew stands waiting because the lift is occupied. Sort it out before we set a date, and the rest goes quickly.

Mind the headroom in the garage

Several buildings in Nydalen have their loading bay in the underground car park, and there is a height restriction there – often around 2 metres. A removal van is considerably taller than that and simply will not fit.

Then we have to unload at street level and carry in that way, which takes longer. Check the sign at the entrance, or ask the facilities manager, and tell us – so we can allow for it in the estimate instead of it becoming a surprise on the day.

A lot of office moving

Nydalen is one of Oslo's largest office districts, and a large part of what we do here is business relocation. In that case we prefer to move in the evening or at the weekend, so that staff can walk straight into work the next morning.
