Movers at St. Hanshaugen

We took our name from this neighbourhood, and it is where we move most often. The buildings around the park have their own quirks – and we know them well.

We know the buildings here

The blocks around St. Hanshaugen are mostly tenement buildings from around the turn of the last century. That means high ceilings, generous rooms – and staircases that were not drawn with a two-seater sofa in mind.

Most stairwells here have no lift. We move in them every week, and we know that what decides the time is not how fast you climb the stairs, but whether the furniture comes out the right way on the first attempt. Where it is especially tight, we would rather add an extra person than spend twice as long.

Parking is the real headache

The streets around Ullevålsveien, Waldemar Thranes gate and Colletts gate have residents' parking, and there is rarely a free space right outside the door when you need one.

If the van is to stand legally in a street like that, an exemption has to be applied for from Bymiljøetaten in advance. We will tell you in good time what to apply for at your address – if it is not sorted, we have to carry further, and you are the one paying for those extra minutes.

A short drive means more hours available

The advantage of using a company based in the area is that we do not spend half the morning getting to you. We can usually fit several jobs into the same day in the city centre, and we find it easier to take on short jobs without it becoming expensive for you.

We move all over Oslo, of course

Although our name comes from St. Hanshaugen, we drive across the whole city – Grünerløkka, Sagene, Torshov, Bislett, Majorstuen, Frogner and Nydalen. If you are moving out of Oslo, we do that too.
